Join Oriana for our first concert of our 53rd performance season with classic masterworks for upper voices!
Featuring the Stabat Mater composed in 1736 by Italian composer Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, French composer Gabriel Fauré’s Messe Basse that he introduced in 1906 for upper-voice choir, and the third group of the Choral Hymns from the Rig Veda written in England by Gustav Holst in 1910. Oriana will also perform the chorale from J.S. Bach’s Jesu Meine Freude, arranged for upper voices by the choir’s honorary patron and cherished Canadian choral composer, Ruth Watson Henderson.
