Oriana travels to Waterloo to perform in this free concert featuring repertoire selected by renowned Canadian choral composer Matthew Emery, including a newly commissioned work by Matthew for Oriana.
Matthew will join Oriana’s Artistic Director Mitchell Pady in concert to talk about his compositional approach and influences. In addition to several of his own compositions for upper voices, Matthew has programmed works by Eric Whitacre, Srul Irving Glick, Morten Lauridsen and his mentor in his undergraduate compositional studies, Stephen Chatman.
Matthew Emery was Oriana’s composer-in-residence from 2015-2022.
